As a small boy, Boyd laid on a shag carpet in front of the rabbit eared TV with a pencil and paper watching the famous artist, Jon Gnagy. With a penchant for perfection, and a vivid imagination, Boyd always went beyond the TV lesson and added minutiae that captivates viewers.
Art was his favorite class and Boyd spent years honing his drawing skills but soon his teachers encouraged him to abandon art and focus on science.
But Art had a firm grip in his heart so even in science class Boyd was constantly drawing while taking notes, making his paper look like a gallery of doodles. Abandoning science, Boyd went for a degree in graphic design but later longed to soar to the top. So he joined the prestigious Angelo Atelier where his work became so realistic, folks often think his drawings are photographs.
Influenced by the loss of his only daughter when she was just 2, Boyd realizing the brevity of life. That's when he began to realize that those magic memories can be reawakened through art.
